๐ถ May your worries be few,
And may love always guide what you do ๐ถ
๐ถ May you grow like a forest straight toward the light,
Grounded in the mother earth๐ถ
Every year at Taproot Teacher Training we sing this as our closing song.

What a beautiful song to bless us all as we enter back in with our families to renew our homeschool journey.
Barbara Dewey and Jean Miller, along with our Taproot team, gave such great value. We all tuned in live on Zoom to the workshops, got hands on experiences, got to participate in the chat, and meet in breakout rooms. I got to invite everyone to sing my song, Joyful Creation, live on Zoom, on Friday, with Miriam and her kids; and then live on Saturday at the hotel. The event was so wonderful and we all felt such a sweet connection.
What I find most fascinating is that this event usually takes place every year in Cleveland, Ohio, with a max of about 30 parents; but this year, over 100 people from around the world could be with us! And I could feel their joy!
What also makes it great, is that we can take advantage of the HUGE amount of recorded workshops. We get to watch and learn on our own time and we can pause the videos if we miss something. And we get to do all the workshops!! If we are in person we have to choose only one, while maybe 2 others are being taught at the same time in a different room.
This year we found treasures and magic that Taproot brings us and we received it in a NEW way. So much, that it will continue to nurture us for this new school year 2021-2022, and especially since we can look at the workshops online anytime for the next 6 months.
What a blessing to get to be apart of it!
What made my experience so good was being able to spend it away from home with my dear friend, Miriam, who hosted me in her hometown, Huntsville, AL.
I even wrote a new piano instrumental on Miriam's piano during one of Eshanne's Inner work hands on classes, as I vibed the weekend's feelings about Standing Like a Tree.
Her workshop had us meditate on the poem, When I am Among the Trees by Mary Oliver. I love meditating on poems and then writing piano instrumentals. And this time it was so special because we were all in the same spirit as a collective. My new song is called, Sunshine through the Pines, I am hoping to put it out next year on Spotify.
I want to invite you to visit her post.
This is my 6th year being apart of Taproot. Each year, I love meeting so many new parents. I love reconnecting with so many great parents, too, who are on this same journey.
Taproot is such a great name for this event, I feel my roots growing deep into the earth.
I got to reconnect with Tara again. She is such a beautiful woman, soul and mother. Tara is teaching herself how to play the ukulele. She sings May Your Journey Be Safe every night to her daughter and now she would like to play it on ukulele. So I took some time and made a version for the ukulele.
I would also like to share it with you, since you are on this journey with us. What a great song for parents and a great song that continues to connect us all as we sing it. It is a blessing to be here with you!
